Don’t Miss These Utah Fits All Scholarship Updates

⏰ 2026-2027 Scholarship Award Update

👉 For waitlisted students who were awarded the scholarship on July 24 — please pay close attention to your fast approaching opt-in deadline. There will not be exceptions. All pertinent information can be found in your award email. Opt-in is done through your student dashboard.

👉 For waitlisted families anxiously awaiting news about the next award draw — we do not have a specific date from Odyssey at this time. We know this makes school year planning difficult: however, reconciliation of last years’ funds has to be completed through a process with USBE and State Finance. Once that is finalized and the money is transferred to Odyssey, another draw can take place. Additionally, waitlisted students will be drawn to replace any awarded students opting out. 👇

Reminder ➡️ The original award draw went to 18,776 students. That left an initial waitlist of approximately 8,800 students. 1,450 of those waitlisted students were awarded in the second draw. Waitlisted students are not issued a waitlist number or position. Draws are conducted by lottery in order of preference level. In the initial draw scholarship awards first went to Level 1 and Level 2 applicants, and then to a portion of Level 3 applicants. The second draw went to Level 3 applicants only. Subsequent draws will resume with Level 3 and move to Level 4 if any awards remain.

🧭 New Dashboard Features Make Scholarship Navigation Easier

Have you checked out the added features available in the Odyssey platform? You can now access a few new tools in your dashboard that make using the scholarship easier. Here we highlight three for you.

1. Restricted Categories Spending Tracker: You can now track your capped education categories for a quick, at-a-glance reference of what you’ve spent so far. This does away with second guessing and makes for easy management of expense limits! You locate the feature by clicking directly from the dashboard to the Restricted Categories Spending Tracker.

2. Reimbursement Eligibility Requests: This new feature was added to the law last legislative session through UEFA's advocacy efforts. It allows you to check the eligibility of an education expense prior to making a purchase. To get started, you click on Reimbursement Requests in your dashboard. 3. Location Information for Services: When you search a category the results now show where the provider is located just above the Add to Cart button. You are able to scroll through and find those services accessible to you by location. View the sample video as a demonstration.

🤝 The UEFA Community is 37,500 Utah parents strong! We are already a powerful coalition united behind a common goal—to protect and grow the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program.

We plan to begin the new scholarship year with a back to school campaign in September sending emails to legislators thanking them for giving Utah families the freedom and access to choose the best fit for their child’s education. — 💰 This campaign is the first step in our advocacy efforts to increase funding for the Utah Fits All Scholarship during the 2027 legislative session. We'll make it easy to participate by using our legislative tool that identifies your Senator and Representative and helps you craft a positive message expressing your family's gratitude for the scholarship and the impact it has had — so, stay tuned!
