The Utah Fits All Scholarship program is in the midst of an exciting period of growth and transformation, signaling a powerful new chapter for families and students across the state. As the program continues to evolve, big changes are underway—bringing with them expanded opportunities and greater access to personalized education.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared a series of important announcements. Let’s do a recap with some updates.

The 2025-2026 application portal closed on May 1 — There were over 23,000 applicants, including new and renewal. The good news for families is that thousands more students will receive awards this year due to an increase in legislative funding!
The Utah Fits All Scholarship program is set to expand significantly over the next two years. Thanks to an additional $20 million in funding for the upcoming year—and another $20 million already allocated for the following year—the program’s total funding will increase from $80 million to $120 million. This growth reflects a strong commitment to expanding educational opportunities for families across Utah.
Please be aware of the following key dates. UEFA will keep you updated on any changes.

➡️ May 16 Odyssey takes over as Program Manager
➡️ May 31 Scholarship awards date (per Utah code)
➡️ May 31 Deadline to submit 2024-2025 Portfolio or Assessment
➡️ June 30 Last day for 2024-2025 scholarship expenses
➡️ July 1 Effective date for the 2025-2026 scholarship
Positive change is on the horizon as Odyssey is set to take over Program Management on May 16.
With Odyssey now leading the management of the Utah Fits All Scholarship program, families across the state can look forward to a more streamlined, accessible, and empowering experience. Known for their innovative, tech-driven approach, families can expect improved access to tools and systems that support the needs of the customer.
Odyssey brings experience in administering ESA programs. Their system includes features like a user-friendly marketplace, secure payment processing, and built-in support services, which help simplify what can often be a complex process. By overseeing operations such as application review, fund distribution, and vendor management, Odyssey will help ensure the program runs smoothly and efficiently as it continues to grow.
We’ve received numerous inquiries from both parents and providers about what to expect next. Please be patient—details about transition should be forthcoming directly from Odyssey very soon. We will keep you informed of any updates or information Odyssey shares with UEFA.

In a 3rd District Court Status Conference held on April 23rd it was determined by Judge Scott, in agreement with all parties, that the Utah Fits All Program can move forward uninterrupted until the Supreme Court renders a decision.
