There Is Both 👍 Good News and 👎 Bad News.

The good news is that on June 16th, 18,750 Utah Fits All Scholarships were awarded for the 2026-2027 school year! Congratulations to all those families!

The bad news is that over 8,800 are still on the waitlist and feeling the sting of not having their status change from Eligible to Approved. While additional scholarships are set to be awarded by August, the vast majority on the waitlist will not receive one this year.

🎯 Our #1 Goal is MORE FUNDING for the Utah Fits All Scholarship!

• 👉 UEFA’s goal for the 2027 legislative session is to secure additional funding to clear the waitlist and allow more students the opportunity to find their education fit!
• 👉 We will not be advocating for or supporting another UFA clean up bill in 2027. The law has gone through numerous and substantial changes over the last couple years. It is time for stability and growth.

The Utah Fits All Scholarship has a current appropriation of $120 million. Now going into its third year of operation, it has achieved stability and is in high demand among Utah families. Satisfaction is extremely high, with a 90% returning student rate.

This year there were 27,561 applicants. Approximately 20,000 will be awarded for 2026-2027. This means around 7,500 will not receive the scholarship — That’s 7,500 children who will miss out on the opportunities Utah Fits All provides.
