Press Release: “A Fit for All Families” Celebrates Utah Fits All

DRAPER, Utah — Robyn Bagley, Executive Director for Utah Education Fits All (UEFA), released this statement today on the families and community leaders who showed up to celebrate the Utah Fits All Scholarship and share their stories at the “A Fit for All Families” event at Juan Diego Catholic High School in Draper on Saturday. 

“Attendance was high as our UEFA community of families issued a declaration with their presence at “A Fit for All Families” on Saturday! Whether among the 10,000 current scholarship recipients, or the many hopefuls that their children will be future recipients, families showed up to express their gratitude and appreciation for the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program. Families shared their stories with one clear message. Scholarship recipients are thriving in their new fit, overcoming obstacles, and rediscovering the joy of learning – a testament to the power of a customized education.

“A Fit for All Families featured stories and experiences from parents and students, with school choices ranging from homeschooling and private schooling to microschooling. Remarks were shared by Senator Kirk Cullimore, Senate bill sponsor, as well as from House Speaker Mike Schultz and Senate President Stuart Adams, who were honored with our Champion for School Choice award for their exemplary leadership and advocacy. Musical performances were given by the Upbeat Performing Arts Group, composed of homeschool students, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic School students.

“As a grassroots movement, we have truly come far together. With 21,000 parents in our database, our numbers have made us formidable. Through our unity has come power. As evidenced by this celebratory event, every time we invite them to speak up, our families answer the call. We have achieved great things together, like doubling program funding last year, but we still have much to do to ensure that every Utah child, in every zip code, from every financial background has access to the education that fits them best.

“Our community came together Saturday to demonstrate and celebrate the agency of parents in their children’s education and to tell the story of how the Utah Fits All Scholarship truly provides a fit for all families. Through this education choice program families are empowered, allowing parents to customize options that align better with their values, their expectations, and their children’s unique needs.”
