The second Utah Fits All Scholarship waitlist draw is nearly here!
As the new school year gets underway, families remaining on the waitlist have been holding onto hope for another opportunity to receive a scholarship. The wait is almost over.
The remaining balance in the Utah Fits All Scholarship Fund has now been reconciled and will soon be ready for distribution. And here’s the best news: the remaining fund balance is significantly higher than anticipated. This means far more waitlisted students will receive scholarships than previously expected.
🔎 What We Know so FarWe expect the next waitlist lottery to take place by the end of next week and we will share the specific date as soon as it is finalized by Odyssey.
🟢 Preference level 3 current waitlist total: 1,436
Based on the current scholarship fund balance of $12.8 million, we anticipate the following: ➡️ The remaining eligible applicants in Preference Level 3 (income at or below 300% FPL) should receive the scholarship award ➡️ The lottery will then move to eligible applicants in Preference Level 4
Draws are conducted by lottery in order of preference level.
We estimate that approximately 2,000+ additional scholarships will be distributed. While the final number will depend on the variation in scholarship amounts awarded for private school and home-based students, the outlook is incredibly encouraging. It means many more families will receive the opportunity they have been hoping for during the 2026–2027 school year.

👟 A Tremendous Step Forward for Education Choice in UtahWith these additional awards, more than 20,000 students will be served by the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program this school year—nearly 6,000 more than last year!
We are deeply grateful to our legislators for recognizing the growing demand for educational options and for understanding that Utah families want the freedom and access to choose an education that aligns with their values, expectations, and their children’s unique needs.

That is why UEFA’s #1 priority for the upcoming legislative session is to secure additional funding for the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program—so that many more Utah families are given the same opportunity!
