We Need You to Email the House Education Committee Today!

It’s time! We have our first direct Call to Action for the 2025 Legislative Session. We need your voice. Together, we can shape a brighter future for all Utah children!

As this session moves along, we will reach critical moments where outreach to our legislators becomes important. This is one of those moments. In preparation for the Utah Fits All technical cleanup bill going public soon, it’s time to start communicating. The House Education Committee is our first stop.

YOUR ADVOCACY MATTERS! We are looking forward to delivering a unified voice this session through our 21,000+ strong UEFA Community of parents — this includes families who are current recipients of the scholarship as well as those who are hopeful to be awarded scholarships this year. We need all of you!

What is Our message?

  • We always want to be very respectful and begin by expressing gratitude for this empowering education choice opportunity.
  • First and foremost, share how important the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program is to you and your family.
  • We are asking for the continued support from the House Education Committee in protecting and strengthening the policy that is providing Utah families with the freedom and access to choose the best fit for their child’s education!

We are not asking for a funding increase from this committee. They will vote on the technical cleanup bill when it comes before them, not the appropriations bill.

How do I Send It to the Committee?

  • Please head over to our Legislative Outreach Center now to craft and send your email. We’ve made the outreach process very simple and seamless for you with a step-by step-process that assists you with messaging and directs your message to the committee members.

Legislative Update from Utah Fits All Bill Sponsor, Rep. Pierucci

UEFA is pleased to announce that we’ve received assurances from Representative Candice Pierucci that the Utah Fits All Scholarship amount will not be reduced for any specific population of scholarship recipients. Both homeschool and private school parents will continue to receive the full amount of $8000, as they should! She has given permission for us to share this news as we await the release of the cleanup legislation in order to put rumors to rest. Conversations debating this issue did take place over the last year; however, opposition to the idea prevailed. As your advocate we have participated in these discussions and made our position clear against any differentiation of scholarship amounts.

Representative Pierucci, as the sponsor of the Utah Fits All legislation, has done a wonderful job protecting the integrity of the scholarship program and advocating for its growth. Over the interim, in preparation for this legislative session, she has been working hard to address various issues and lessons learned that come only through the experience of program implementation.

She will be running a technical cleanup bill with Senate floor sponsor, Senator Kirk Cullimore, that will be numbered and become public soon. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be given a seat at the table to work with Representative Pierucci and provide our feedback as the advocacy organization for families and for the Utah Fits All Program.

We will share the bill number as soon as it is made public as well as show you how to follow and track its progress. Until then, please take action today and contact the House Education Committee HERE.
