With a new program manager and a delayed rollout for Year Two of the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program, we know there’s been a lot for parents to learn and navigate. Odyssey is continuing to release new updates and support articles to help families stay informed. To make things easier, here’s a quick guide to some key links and important information.
- How to Opt-In/Opt-Out for the UFA Scholarship Program: You have 30 days from program funding to opt-in or forgo your scholarship. According to communication from Odyssey that date is September 20.
- Utah Fits All Handbook: The Odyssey Support page is the UFA Handbook. Go there first to search articles for answers to your questions.
- Utah Fits All - Funds & Uses: The most inquiries involve reimbursement, eligible expenses, and shopping the marketplace. Reference this section of the handbook for answers to your questions and how-to instructions.
- The ability to cancel submitted reimbursements
- The ability to see reimbursement rejection reasons in their portal
- More information regarding rejection reasons
- Improved reimbursement categoriesLook forward to the following upcoming features to the reimbursement portal as reported in the August 28 email from Odyssey.
- Customer Support: Odyssey is currently receiving an average of 1,400 support tickets per day and is working to improve how they manage this volume and respond to families more effectively. We know many of you have experienced delays and frustration with responses — and we’ve heard your concerns firsthand. Despite the challenges, going through Odyssey Support remains the correct path to get answers and resolve issues, and we encourage you to continue using that channel. Here are some helpful tips:
We recognize the rollout of the scholarship program this year has undeniably included its share of frustrations, bumps, delays, and communication challenges that have come with this transition to a new program manager. It hasn’t been easy — and your concerns are valid. While the new manager is still working to fine-tune systems, processes, and policies, we can confirm they have always been collaborative and open to feedback — and we’re confident that, with time and continued patience, the experience will evolve and become smoother as processes settle and systems improve for both families and providers alike.
As always, UEFA is here as your advocate, working alongside you to navigate issues, push for clearer communication, and help find real solutions.
